My daughter and I recently took a girls’ trip to Charleston for a few nights and it served to remind me, as the saying goes – Charleston is always a good idea! We had the best time soaking in this Southern gem. And while there, it was #tscsummit overload visiting so many alums, sponsors and presenters – TSC roots run deep in the Holy City!
We kicked off the trip with a couple nights at the newly opened Auberge Resorts property The Dunlin. The interiors by Summit alum and past presenter Amanda Lindroth are simply divine! This cottage-inspired boutique hotel, located along the banks of the beautiful and peaceful Kiawah River, is thoughtfully and exquisitely designed in both the interior and exterior spaces. Equally exquisite are the divine views in every direction.
We dined on property the entire stay at Linnette’s and Willet Room, and each meal was so fresh and delicious! We rode bikes and went kayaking and sat around the fire and made s’mores – just what this mother and daughter needed!
We then headed into Charleston proper (an easy 20-mile drive) where we first stopped by to visit our friends at Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit to grab a late breakfast. We got an early check-in at The Charleston Place. It had been several years since I last stayed there and you just cannot beat the perfect location and top-notch service and attention to detail. While there, shopping was most convenient with the ground level Shops at The Charleston Place featuring TSC alums:
And, of course, the food scene in Charleston is abundant! Some favorites include the rooftop Citrus Club at The Dewberry (another place I love to stay – so chic and their spa is amazing!). Start here for some of the best views in the city and then head to dinner at one of these hot spots:
