The Southern C’s Guide to Palm Beach

Jun 17 2026

by Katelyn Whelan

Some places get under your skin. Palm Beach is one of them.

After getting a taste last fall (the Colony Hotel, the light on the water, the energy of being surrounded by founders who just get it), Cheri, Alison, and Whitney knew one visit wasn’t going to be enough. So this spring, they went back for the deeper dive. More corners of the city, more restaurants, more of those shops that you stumble into and can’t leave.

This is their full guide. Consider it your invitation to do the same.

Where to Eat

Palm Beach does dining like it does everything else: with a little flair and a lot of personality. Here’s where we actually went (and went back to).

Worth Avenue & The Colony

Swifty’s at The Colony is everything. The energy is electric, the food is delicious, and the caviar service? A grand treat. We may or may not have fan-girled Gucci Westman poolside while wearing her new Hydrabalm: Alison inEnglish Rose, Cheri in Pop, both purchased at Living with Ivey earlier that day.

Le Bilbouquet has outposts in other cities, but Palm Beach is its natural habitat. Girly, chic, and unapologetically fun. We ordered the quintessential gal pal spread: salad, fries, and a French Sancerre.

Būcaan is a must for small plates and shared-table energy. The food is exceptional: order widely and share everything.

The New It Spots

Coco’s and The Bar at The Vineta are the new center of gravity in Palm Beach. The place to be and be seen: we spotted George Hamilton, Jonathan Adler, Eddie Ross, and Jessie Palmer in the same evening. Coco’s serves Mediterranean cuisine with recipes from the legendary Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The Bar is for cocktails and music when the night calls for it.

The Polo Room is another standout: hip vibe, killer cocktails, and food worth ordering off the specials menu every time.

Lunch Worth Slowing Down For

Honor Bar at Royal Poinciana Plaza is a hip daytime destination with great energy and even better food: perfect after a morning on Worth Avenue.

La Goulue delivers old-school French charm in the best possible way. The kind of place you linger.

The Seafood Bar at The Breakers earns its spot with a fabulous view, fabulous food, and the perfect perch for midday cocktails.

Eat Like a Local

Surfside Diner is your best breakfast in Palm Beach: don’t skip it.

Buccan Sandwich Shop is the move when you don’t want to slow down for a long lunch. It’s a walk-up window, and we turned it into a full moment: an impromptu picnic in the adjacent park, under the palms. Highly recommend.

Mr. B’s Tavern on Georgia Avenue is a fabulous dive in all the right ways: tableside guacamole, great margaritas, and a crowd that has clearly decided it’s always 5 o’clock. We spotted a very skinny cowboy with twin Dobermann Pinschers. Perfect.

Green’s Pharmacy has been a Palm Beach institution since 1938 and deserves your full attention. Get the egg salad sandwich. Get the burger. Get the milkshake. Get all of it.

Where to Shop

Palm Beach shopping rewards those who go in with an open mind and extra bag space. Cheri, Alison, and Whitney organized their days around Worth Avenue and then made the pilgrimage to West Palm Beach’s Antique Row and SoSo Design District, and the warehouses alone were worth the trip.

Worth Avenue & Beyond

Lycette is always a stop: we dropped off pieces to be finished and bought new needlepoint projects. This visit was made even more special by the cocktail party co-hosted by TSC alums Tricia and Courtney at the launch of their Slim Aarons collaboration.

BURU on Worth Avenue is the kind of shop that makes you want to immediately rebook your trip. We were so honored to attend it’s grand opening last fall and couldn’t wait to get back to this beauty!

Coniglio Palm Beach’s new location is stunning. We had to love on our friends there: if you know, you know.

The Nix is a perfect curated stop for candles, books, tabletop, and accessories. We left with a fun leather and shell cuff.

The Hive is a true destination: multiple concepts under one roof spanning clothing, design, gifts, flowers, and even a bakery. You have to see it to believe it.

The Kemble Shop is full of unique gifts and stylish finds for your home, garden, and wardrobe. We picked up a cute summer dress we’re already planning outfits around.

Frances Valentine is always a joyful stop, and Palm Beach might be the most natural place on earth to wear FV. We bought a caftan. Of course we did.

Julia Amory’s chic jewel box shop is a non-negotiable. Whitney  bought a chic neutral set that will work year-round.

Antique Row & SoSo Design District, West Palm Beach

Plan a half day here: it rewards the wanderers.

Show Pony was impossible to see in one visit. We went straight off the plane and then returned to the warehouses on the way out of town. Incredible lamps, furnishings, and smalls: this is the kind of shopping that ruins you for anything ordinary.

Palm Regency is remarkable both in the shop and in the off-the-beaten-path warehouse. Sign up for their newsletter, because they ship, and you’ll want them to.

Casa Gusto gave us a charming tour led by owner Cris Briger, and we fell completely in love. Their tole flowers and papier-mâché terracotta reliefs are unlike anything else we’ve seen.

Circa Who is a wonderful collection of old Florida finds. So many great pieces: the kind of shop that makes you wish you had a bigger car.

Danielle Rollins Shop charmed us as much as the tastemaker herself. The team is as delightful as the inventory.

Meg Braff Designs is as colorful and fun to explore as you’d hope from this iconic designer. A studio worth visiting just for the inspiration.

Catch it next year

The 2026 Kips Bay Showhouse was genuinely inspiring: a must for anyone who loves interiors, design, or creative vision.

The Takeaway

Palm Beach rewards presence. The best moments (a poolside encounter, a warehouse find, a long lunch that turns into a late afternoon) happen when you let the day unfold. Cheri, Alison, and Whitney came back from this spring trip already planning the next one.

And if you want to do it alongside your people? That’s exactly what the Palm Beach Retreat is made for.
