Our passion for building a thoughtful community extends far beyond our members and events. Our mission is to make a positive impact through the support of the following initiatives.
The Southern C donates annually to local charities and national causes tied to our hometown communities and the communities that play gracious host to our annual events.
Additionally, The Southern C established the annual Phyllis Hoffman DePiano Scholarship in 2024.
American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women 2024 attendees rock their red on the final day and a percentage of each ticket is donated to this worthy cause.
There is one person near and dear to us that embodied all of these traits throughout her career – Phyllis Hoffman DePiano, the Founder of Hoffman Media. When Phyllis passed away earlier in 2023, the world lost a passionate entrepreneur, a fiercely devoted friend and mentor to many, and most importantly a dedicated mother to one of TSC’s dearest friends – Brian Hart Hoffman.
