WHITNEY’S B’S FOR THE SOUTHERN C

Chloe Kristyn

Chloe Kristyn is an effortless, yet elegant and functional line, for the modern woman designed by the talented Bettina Benson, a TSC Summit alum and mentor and TSC Membership webinar leader.

Her beautiful designs can take you from work to dinner to parties to church and many points in between. The fall collection is dropping in a couple of days, I cannot wait to see the newest Chloe Kristyn designs and fabrics!

The Most Powerful Woman in the Room is You

If you have attended a TSC Summit, you will immediately recognize the title as well as author Lydia Fenet. Her book offers an intimate look into a twenty-year journey from intern to managing director and global head of strategic partnerships at Christie’s Auction House. Within the pages, Lydia graciously shares the revolutionary sales approach she has crafted over the years that shaped her career as well as sharing how to create your own “Strike Method” or signature move to help you feel confident entering any situation.

Also included throughout the book are case studies and personal stories and tips from some of the most powerful and successful women in business, fashion, journalism, sports, and the arts.

Although I read this book a couple of years ago, it’s one that I keep within easy reach to reference again and again. If flagged pages and highlighted portions are any indication of a helpful, resourceful book, The Most Powerful Woman in the Room is You certainly fits the bill.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Cannot think of a show I am more excited to see return than this one! Supposedly Season 4 will begin airing in December so if you haven’t seen it, add it to your watchlist so you can be ready for the new season!

TMMM has the sharpest writing, an intriguing storyline, and rich characters you feel like you know personally. On top of that, the clothes (hello hats, gloves and capes!) and set design are exquisite. Set in NYC in the late 50’s and early 60’s, it’s a beautifully visual timestamp.

Navy Hill

Our Harris Teeter recently started carrying Navy Hill mixers and I was so excited to see this as Navy Hills founders, Jenny Lucas and Katie Williams, just happen to be TSC members!

There are lots of cocktail recipes on the website but one that we have on rotation is the Transfusion… oh, my… so good and easy to make! We just returned from a Labor Day vacation to 30A where I served it to our guests and now they, too, are hooked on these small-batch mixers made and bottled here in the US – another reason to love Navy Hill!
