WHITNEY’S B’S FOR THE SOUTHERN C: August
I’m a big fan of the IT Cosmetics line and over the years had read a little about the founder Jamie Kern Lima. When I saw she had released a book, the title caught me and I decided to give it a read… it was SO good!
Without giving too much away, this book is a roller coaster of a true story of how a once struggling waitress turned her against-the-grain idea into an international bestselling sensation, eventually selling the company for over a billion dollars and becoming the first female CEO of a brand in L’Oréal’s 100+ year history. Faced with self-doubt, body-doubt, God-doubt, down to her last few dollars and told “No one is going to buy makeup from someone who has your body,” Jamie candidly shares the powerful lessons she learned as she went from underestimated to unstoppable.
TSC Summit friend Molly Fienning introduced me to the Partake Foods brand and now I am hooked! The cookies are amazing and a healthier way to satisfy my sweet tooth – I especially like the Soft Baked Cookie Butter and the Crunchy Carrot Cake Cookies. They are gluten-free, vegan, and free of the top 8 allergens. Created for her daughter with allergies, founder Denise Woodard is one smart cookie – no pun intended 🙂
Ok, I was late to the game on this show but boy, am I glad I finally watched The Morning Show with Jennifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon – Hollywood’s Golden Girl and Entrepreneur Extraordinaire! Did y’all read where she recently sold Hello Sunshine for $900 million?!
The Morning Show pulled me in from the first episode and did not let go – the last episode has me counting down the days for Season 2 which premieres September 17th. If you haven’t seen season 1, be sure to catch it before then!
This Windy O’Connor jacket! LOVE! Once cooler temps arrive (hoping sooner than later) this cute and stylish jacket is the perfect way to make any outing a little more fun, whether it’s football games, oyster roasts, boat rides, the RSM golf tourney here on St. Simons – you name it!
