Brett Hutchinson is the co-founder of Buru and a partner in both business and life. After a career in the corporate world rooted in finance and accounting, Brett traded spreadsheets for sketches (and somehow still kept the spreadsheets) to help turn the dream of Buru into a reality and bring the brand to life.

As the steady hand behind the scenes, Brett makes the numbers work so the creativity can shine. He oversees financial planning and long-term growth, supporting a shared vision of creating stylish, sustainable clothing designed to serve women through every phase of life. His leadership provides the structure that allows bold ideas to flourish, ensuring the business grows with intention and integrity.

Beyond the balance sheets, Brett is a full partner in every sense, supporting Buru’s creative vision, helping plan and build the business, and raising their three children alongside Morgan. From the earliest days, they worked to build the brand from the ground up, including the creation of its vertically integrated factory, bringing everything from fabric to fulfillment under one roof.
