August Member Monday Recap

Meet Emilie Hill of ZWJ Investment Council
I am a partner/owner at ZWJ Investment Counsel in Atlanta, GA. My role is to counsel my high net worth clients on all matters relating to their financial wellbeing and to manage their investment portfolios. Recognizing a gap in how the financial industry talks about money with little to no regard to the psychological and emotional aspects of money, I launched an instagram account (@emiliedayanhill) and Substack newsletter (Finance That Feels) to help educate and empower women to transform their money mindset and unlock a life aligned with their dreams and values—because financial empowerment is about more than money.

Why did you join TSC Membership?
The short answer is that I work in an analytical, male-dominated field and wanted to surround myself with other entrepreneurial, creative women. TSC has definitely delivered! I have met such a wide array of women in various disciplines and fields and am inspired by every single one of them.
What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?
It’s hard to choose because one of my deepest convictions is to align my money choices with my values and shopping small and/or female-owned is an important way I do that. I have been introduced to many businesses like this via The Southern C especially. I will narrow it down to three: 1) Hapsy, alcohol-free canned cocktails, by my friend Andrea Wightwick. It is a party favorite! 2) Bought my first swimsuit from Laura Templin and am obsessed. 3) Uptown Concierge (Kat Campbell) organized our house and now we are working with them on a regular basis with an assistant house manager (life changing).
Where do you go to get your inspiration now?
My 5 year old daughter. She is completely uninhibited, funny, and constantly reminds me to be silly and live in the moment. I love her budding sense of fashion and endless sense of wonder.
What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?
My greatest mentor told me early on: Don’t be in a hurry. For a type 3 enneagram person like myself who is fueled by achievement and crossing things off my list, this is a really grounding piece of advice that I think about almost every day.

Meet Jennifer Winters of National League of Junior Cotillions

Why did you join TSC Membership?
I joined The Southern C for connection, inspiration, and community. Being surrounded by dynamic women who are generous with their ideas, wisdom, and support is sure to make an impact on me both personally and professionally.
What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?
I love supporting women-owned small businesses, especially lifestyle brands and boutiques with a Southern flair. A few of my go-tos are Poffie Girls in Gastonia, NC, Taylor Reese, and Laundry Dae in McAdenville, NC.
Where do you go to get your inspiration now?
I find inspiration in the next generation, watching students grow in confidence and poise through our programs reminds me why I do what I do. I’m also inspired by strong women in business who lead with both grace, resilience, and heart. One of my biggest passions is helping others grow and become their very best through developing confidence, positive energy, and meaningful connections. I truly believe that when we fuel each other with encouragement, kindness, and purpose, we all rise together.
What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?
The best advice I’ve received is to “start before you’re ready.” Perfection can hold you back, purpose and progress are what move you forward.

Meet Kat Campbell of Uptown Concierge
Hi friends! My name is Kat Campbell. Born and raised, and now residing in Newnan, Georgia, I have always loved to organize and had a strong entrepreneurial mindset. But if you were to tell 13-year-old me that she’d make a career of it, she’d never have believed you.
Prior to starting UpTown Concierge at the age of 25, a luxury home organizing and house management business, I attended the University of Georgia, receiving a degree in Vocal Performance. Although UpTown is based in Atlanta, I am an outdoorsy girl through and through. I currently live on 25 acres with my husband, our English Mastiff puppy, Marcie, 3 pet pygmy goats, Earl, Marvin, and Dot, and 10 working goats.
2025 is a milestone year as UpTown Concierge is celebrating 10 years in business and we have the largest team we’ve ever had – 16 amazing women! I really can’t even believe it! And to add to the entrepreneurial fun, my husband and I launched Grazeland Goats, a goat land clearing business to naturally clear and maintain weeds, ivy, brush, and other unwanted vegetation without chemicals and machinery.
I am a self-proclaimed professional over-thinker, cheap wine connoisseur, and disaster in the kitchen – unless organizing it of course!
Why did you join TSC Membership?
I joined TSC to engage with and learn from other strong, creative, business women. I have been looking for a group like this for years, and stumbled upon TSC on Instagram one day and was immediately drawn in.
What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?
I try to support small businesses whenever I can. From Southern Baked Pie Company for client holiday gifts to The Cellar for a local downtown Newnan dinner to Toups and Co for my organic skin care.
Where do you go to get your inspiration now?
Inspiration for me starts with feeling settled and at peace. I get this through being out in nature – enjoying Gods creation!
What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?
Sometimes you just have to go for it. If you’re determined, you will figure it out. “A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not on the branch but on its own wings.”

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?
Make a belt with everything (Stephanie von Watzdorf). (At the last minute I decided to put a belt with the Bardot dress and it became an instant hit….and about 50% of people wear the belt!) 2. Develop things you would like to wear yourself. 3. Build your clientele by going out on the road to do trunk shows (Veronica Beard).
