    I’m so glad I found this. My mother used to make a custard that was from a recipe given to her by my Grandmommy, who got the recipe from her French mother. A number of years ago my mom lost the written version of the recipe, and now that she has Alzheimer’s she doesn’t cook at all. Thanks so much for sharing this. I can’t wait to try this as a possible base for rediscovering her recipe. I just had never thought to look up a basic custard recipe!
