Amy Flurry
Amy operates an independent communications studio that assists companies in developing and implementing focused communication strategies that position them for the next stage of growth. She draws on her experience in the fashion and home furnishings industry in applying trend direction to product development and in expanding marketing strategies to connect businesses to the interior design trade.
Serving as a temporary communications partner, Amy and her team help to strengthen a companies editorial voice through custom marketing assets including tailor-made newsletters, websites, catalogs, presentations, and magazines with a clear point of view. Driven by creativity and through consistent presence and a broad network of collaborators, she energizes brand strengths and guides in bridging communications and commerce.
Amy has two decades of editorial experience, producing features and writing for some of the countries top print and online publications, including Conde Nast Traveler, Country Living, Lucky, Better Homes & Gardens, House Beautiful, InStyle and Refinery 29. Inspired by this rich career in publishing, Amy authored Recipe for Press (Pitch Your Story and Create a Buzz, 2011) then took to the road, sharing her editorial insights with entrepreneurs. Recipe for Press (Designer Edition, 2018) is her newest book with the tools interior designers, architects, landscape planners and product designers need to take advantage of the press opportunities available to creative professionals. The book took shape after two years as creative director of Parlore, the first-of-its kind project management app for interior design professionals.
