Why did you join TSC Membership?

I joined TSC Membership as a longtime fan of Whitney and Cheri knowing the quality of everything they do. The best part of being a member is the connecting, learning, growth, and having camaraderie in the creative space.

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

I love all things Sugarboo!

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

My inspiration comes from the 2-lane country roads I drive on, taking space for myself, seeing the world through my children’s eyes, date nights on Fridays, and spending time relaxing and savoring with friends.

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

The best business advice I’ve given is that people want your version of whatever it is you are doing.

Why did you join TSC Membership?

I joined TSC for community and inspiration. I have to say the people are definitely the best part. This community is truly about collaboration, which has been great for my business. I have met such an amazing group of women who I connect with on a daily basis to help in this entrepreneurship journey.

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

How can I pick ONE small business I love to support?  One of my favorites is a local store called Blair’s Gifts. She actually carries a lot of my TSC friend’s products now, which is so fun to see!  @blairsgifts on Instagram.

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

Owning a business is not for the faint of heart, and some weeks are definitely better than others. My subscribers are the most amazing people ever, and any time I get a message from one of them telling me how much I have helped them  in the kitchen, it keeps me going and makes me remember why I started this in the first place.

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

Know your worth, and charge it.  I think as small business owners, we always want to charge less than what we should in order to get someone’s business. I have learned that when you charge what you are worth, your target clientele will pay it, and you will be happier not discounting your hard work.

Why did you join TSC Membership?

I discovered TSC when visiting Sea Island in 2017 while on a girl’s trip.  I watched from afar and was fascinated with the venue and attendees and what they were doing.   I have been following along on social media for all these years and I recently joined after refocusing my side hustle into a full- time job so I am very excited to be in this group.  I have already met some wonderful and inspiring women through membership and I have enjoyed the many videos and resources found in the app.

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

You can often find me sporting a Sue Sartor dress or tunic and I am never without my bracelet stack from Gretchen at Interlude Antiques.  These amazing women are TSC members, good friends, and my neighbors just around the corner.

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

When traveling I often find myself looking and searching for architectural features and colors that inspire a design.  I also find that nature never fails when searching for a new idea, theme, or color inspiration – and I do love to be outside.

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

Never forget there is nothing small about small business!

Why did you join TSC Membership?

I joined TSC because a few creatives I follow on Instagram were members. After doing some research, I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn and collaborate with other business owners. It has been incredibly inspirational and supportive! The recorded calls and group message is a constant source of information, feedback, and support.

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

Locally, I shop at Sunset Hardware Co. in Alamo Heights! (@sunsetandco.shop). It’s a wonderful hardware store that has EVERYTHING. I can buy paint, have a key made, and buy beautiful wine glasses in the same trip.

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

One of my favorite things about art is finding inspiration everywhere! I was at the car wash the other day and the shapes in the machine were so interesting. You’ll probably see them show up in a pattern soon! Mostly I’m inspired by nature–I LOVE the beach. I LOVE mountains and remote spaces. My daughter and I just spent a couple days primitive camping on the Padre Island National Seashore and it was INCREDIBLE. The colors, the shapes of shells, the wildlife. I saw a type of crab I’ve never seen before! Look for him in a pattern soon too!

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

Keep going. If it’s what you love to do, keep at it. No one will ever have your unique perspective, so don’t let it wither away by quitting.
