Why did you join TSC Membership?

I recently joined TSC after being a long-time follower and fan. I admire so many of the taste-makers and female entrepreneurs here and I’m excited to expand my networking with this incredible group!

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

Some of my favorite small businesses include @tresbellefete @blythehollidaydesigns @juliaamory

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

I draw inspiration for wedding design from interior design and hotel design

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

There are many talented designers in this group and I love designing a wedding with a residential feel in mind. We recently designed a wedding around a wallpaper pattern in the client’s home.

Jill Higgins of 1861 Distillery

Owning a distillery is pretty much the dream job—where else can I combine my love of great spirits, creativity, and a little bit of chaos? As Director of Marketing, I get to craft the perfect buzz (in both the drinks and the excitement department), bringing our distillery’s story to life one sip at a time. I’m passionate about showcasing the craftsmanship, care, and a dash of magic that goes into every bottle we produce.

Why did you join TSC Membership?

I joined TSC because being an entrepreneur can sometimes feel like a solo journey, but this community proves it doesn’t have to be. The best part of being a TSC member is the incredible network of smart, supportive, and inspiring women who are always willing to share insights, experiences, and encouragement. It’s not just about business growth—it’s about building real connections that make the journey even more rewarding.

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

Oh, this is a tough one because there are so many amazing small businesses I love to support! One of my favorites currently on my mind is Two Friends. I love to shop there when I’m on the island. Marti Tolleson is truly wonderful—I’ve known her for a long time, and she has always been incredibly supportive and gracious. Beyond curating a beautifully unique selection of goods, she creates such a fun and welcoming shopping experience. It’s the kind of place where you always leave with something special.

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

Lately, my biggest source of inspiration has been the incredible members of The Southern C. After attending the Summit and working to learn about more people beforehand, I’ve found so much motivation in the stories, creativity, and experiences of fellow members. I’ve realized that for me, inspiration often comes through the connections I make with others. I recently launched a podcast for the distillery, and diving into meaningful conversations there has been an exciting and unexpected source of fresh ideas and perspective.

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

One of the best pieces of business advice I’ve ever received is to build relationships, not just a business. Surround yourself with people who challenge, support, and inspire you, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Collaboration will take you further than competition ever will. And most importantly, trust yourself—you are capable of more than you think.

Meet Trisha Addicks, Sorority Consultant

Trisha Addicks is the creator of the sorority recruitment (rush) consulting space. Her first attempt at joining a sorority in 1986 was unsuccessful and even though she went through the process again successfully the next year, those feelings of rejection and isolation always remained with her. In 2017, after years of informally helping friends’ daughters navigate recruitment at many schools, she decided to create a program where young women would have the tools to show their best selves and navigate intentionally through this mysterious and daunting process. She is currently working on a book that will make her methods accessible to many more people, hosts a weekly podcast, Mad Rush with Trisha Addicks, and her personal story and expertise are currently in feature film development with Elizabeth Banks and Brownstone Productions.

Why did you join TSC Membership?

The best part of being a TSC member is everything about it. The people I meet in every TSC interaction are inspiring, interesting and changing the world in unique ways that only they have the power to do. The genuine desire to help is present in everyone in TSC and I am very grateful to be a part of this supportive community.

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

A favorite business I like to support is Laura Templin. We have a house at Sea Island (very convenient for TSC Summit this year!) and I am in a bathing suit often. Laura Templin’s designs are so comfortable and she makes the extra effort to work with every customer to find their perfect fit. I also have to mention that I discovered Trask toothbrushes at TSC and I am a bit obsessed.

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

I am inspired every day by the people I meet and interview on my podcast. They are from all corners and walks of life, and some of them know nothing about sorority recruitment, but we always find a common thread to explore! I love learning what makes others feel joy and success-however that looks like for them. I am thrilled to make these connections because connections are what we all crave.

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

One of the best pieces of business advice I have received I got from reading Lydia Fenet’s book, Claim Your Confidence: “State your need.” Ask for what you want. This is hard for me and when I remember this advice, I usually get what I want – people want to help.

Meet Dallis Foshee, Artist and Textile Designer

Hi friends! My name is Dallis Foshee and I’m an artist and textile designer currently based in St Simons, GA. After working in the corporate world as a fashion and product designer, I recently decided to chase my dreams and focus full time on my small business, Dallis Foshee Art & Design LLC. Dallis Foshee A&D started off as a creative outlet for me, but has blossomed into a small business that specializes in fine art paintings, prints, accessories such as scarves that include my hand painted designs, as well as custom design services for brands and clients. I’m working on expanding my product line that will include fabrics, wallpaper, home decor, accessories and beyond!

Why did you join TSC Membership?

As a newer member, I’ve been blown away with the support and encouragement from the TSC community! And that’s exactly why I wanted to join. It’s so refreshing to have this empowering coterie of like-minded women and entrepreneurs to collaborate and connect with to help each other’s business ventures flourish!

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

Where do I begin! I’m a big fan of Holly Shae Design and her seasonal prints and apparel that helps women “elevate with ease”. Not only do I love her apparel line, but she was also my first client as a textile designer who helped me jumpstart my career. I also love SJ Bailey for jewelry, Fete in Atlanta, Two Friends in St Simons, Angie Turner Law for legal business help, and DeVoss Photography for all my photography needs.

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

Might sound cliche, but I get a lot of my inspiration from fashion and interiors. I love the layering of textures, bold color combos and pattern mixing found in apparel and interior design. I also love diving into the process of how things are made which always inspires me in the most unexpected ways. It challenges me to experiment with my own art and venture into new mediums and techniques that I normally wouldn’t think to do!

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

The best advice I’ve ever received was “just do the damn thing!” (excuse my French). Stop waiting for the right time and just go for it. As someone who just took the leap of faith and quit my job to pursue what I love doing, the unknown is scary but man is it rewarding. As long as you love what you’re doing, it will never feel like a job!

Meet Kim Lolley of Kim Lolley Designs

Hi y’all, I’m Kim Lolley, the founder and designer behind Kim Lolley Designs. My love for classic, timeless clothing started at an early age, watching my grandmother sew the most beautiful dresses with such grace and care. Every piece I create today is a tribute to the women who came before me—elegant, strong, and full of heart. My brand is built on tradition, quality, and a deep appreciation for Southern style. I believe a well-made dress should make you feel as beautiful as the memories you create in it.

But beyond just making dresses, I believe in using my business to give back. A portion of each sale goes to support the local children’s home, a cause near and dear to my heart. Every dress sold is not just a piece of clothing—it’s a way to bring a little love and care to children who need it most.

Why did you join TSC Membership?

Joining The Southern C was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a small business owner. It’s not just a network—it’s a community of like-minded, supportive women who genuinely want to see each other succeed. Whether it’s sharing resources, advice, or just cheering each other on, TSC has been such a blessing in my journey. There’s something so special about being surrounded by people who understand the joys and challenges of building a business from the ground up.

What is a favorite small business you like to shop or support?

I absolutely love supporting other small businesses, especially those that pour so much heart into what they do. One of my favorites is The Cheerful Baker—Lauren Jacobs creates the most beautifully decorated cookies that are almost too pretty to eat! I also adore June St. George, where you can design your own rugs, pillows, and home decor to make any space feel uniquely yours. And of course, Mary Caroline Colgin is a dear friend from my hometown who owns a stunning jewelry line—her pieces are timeless and elegant, just like her. Supporting small businesses means supporting dreams, and I love being part of a community that lifts each other up.

Where do you go to get your inspiration now?

My grandmother is, and always will be, the heart of my business. Her beauty, grace, and love for clothing shaped me into the designer I am today. I still use some of her old patterns, giving them a fresh take while keeping their classic charm. Every dress I design is a reflection of her timeless elegance, and I hope that when women wear my pieces, they feel that same sense of tradition and beauty.

What is the best business advice you have ever given or received?

The best business advice I’ve ever received is to stay true to your vision, no matter what. Trends come and go, but authenticity and quality will always stand the test of time. My grandmother used to say, “If you’re going to do something, do it with love and do it well,” and that’s the heart behind every dress I create.

One verse that has always guided me in both life and business is Colossians 3:23—”Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Whether I’m designing a dress, helping a customer, or giving back, I try to put my whole heart into everything I do. Stay patient, trust the process, and never forget why you started.
