Angie Avard Turner
Angie Avard Turner is an attorney with a fancy for bold patterns and punches of bright colors. After almost 20 years in retail, 10 years in wholesale, and 5 years in licensing, Angie decided to do law a little differently by representing exclusively creative women entrepreneurs. As a designer, artist, and entrepreneur, her not-so-secret-sauce is that she understands the legal needs of creative businesses because she owned and operated one for a decade. In representing her clients, she brings a unique combination of legal knowledge, business experience, and desire to build lasting relationships with those she represents. Many of her clients have been with her since she began the practice nearly 12 years ago. With offices in SWGA, where she lives, Atlanta, and Saint Simons, Angie is positioning her firm to continue to grow her distinctive niche practice into the next decade with new offices coming in 2024.
When Angie decided to build her practice, she went back to law school and obtained her LL.M. (stands for Master in Laws) in Intellectual Property. This advanced law degree allows her to handle more complex issues pertaining to Copyright, Trademark, Licensing, Entertainment, E-Commerce, and Social Media law.
By providing sound legal advice, protecting clients’ business interests, and offering wise counsel, Angie feels she is fulfilling her purpose to do what she loves– empowering women business owners confidently make decisions to fortify what they’ve worked so hard to create.
In addition to practicing law, Angie has been a contributing writer to GIFT SHOP Magazine for ten years; she is also a frequent speaker and presenter at various conferences where creative women entrepreneurs can be found as well as being a frequent guest on entrepreneur centered podcasts.
Angie has been married to Steven Turner for nearly 25 years, and they have 3 children—Savannah, Meredith Camille, and Simeon.
