Join The Southern C founder Cheri Leavy and host, stylist, author and founder of La Fortezza Retreats, Annette Joseph for an inspiring getaway to Annette’s dreamy renovated medieval fortress in the countryside of northern Tuscany.

Annette will lead four adventure-filled days that include lively educational sessions in La Fortezza’s studio/classroom housed in a beautiful renovated barn on site. Enjoy wandering the 27 acres with a glass of Annette’s house made wine in hand. Wander to the vineyard or participate in hands on cooking classes in the commercial kitchen and, foraging and styling all focused on fostering creativity and finding new talents.

An exciting day in Modena touring the city, followed by lunch at an artisanal balsamic purveyor. The business is located in a stunning villa in Reggio Emilia. The owners are two sisters. They will tour you through the ancient barrels of balsamico, and then guide you through a tasting of the most exquisite selections of balsamic vinegars in the world. These inspired entrepreneurs will tell you about their journey creating a business that started as a family hobby. It’s a wonderful success story.

Sought after wordsmith, calligrapher, and designer Betty Soldi (@bettysoldistudio ) will be leading a morning INKSPERIENCE in the La Fortezza classroom and joining us for lunch. Materials will be provided. From the heart of Florence, Italy Betty Soldi’s uniquely original calligraphic style merges a heritage of design references with modern intellect for emotionally compelling branding, graphic design communication, lifestyle objects, stationery and creative collaborations, drawing in like-minded skilled associates for custom projects and sensorial ‘inksperiences’.

In signature TSC style, our group will relax and recharge our entrepreneurial spirit and #connectcollaboratecreate on the expansive terrace and pool overlooking the Tuscan countryside with coffee, cocktails and plenty of camaraderie.
