Empire State Finery was founded by Paige Booker and Alice Trahant in Georgia, the Empire State of the South. In the Coterie, we are obsessed with the casual vibe of their necklaces made from organic materials you would find in the South like boar’s tusks and shells. Most recently, InStyle magazine featured their earrings which immediately made it on our must-have list for fall especially when we realized they were only $55.

Coffee first then a walk with my dog, Nash.
HOW DO YOU END YOUR DAY?
Reading of some sorts and then a phone call from my boyfriend who lives in Texas.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE SOUTH?
I love the people. There is a feeling of warmth and hospitality here that is unique to the South.
MOST UNUSUAL ITEM(S) IN YOUR BAG?
Lipsmackers Coca-Cola. My love for this began in college and I can’t stop. It gives me the perfect little bit of color for my lips, isn’t sticky and tastes good.
BEST BUDGET FIND YOU USE EVERYDAY?
Maybelline Mascara. It gets the job done and it’s easy to wash off.
BIGGEST SPLURGE YOU USE EVERYDAY?
Obagi Skincare products. Love the whole line.
PRODUCT THAT SAVES YOU THE MOST TIME?
PSSSST! Dry Shampoo. Clean or dirty I use it on my hair everyday for volume and texture.
MOST VERSATILE WARDROBE STAPLE?
Our Banded & Stranded necklaces are my ESF go to pieces. I’ll throw one on by itself or stack a handful together for a totally different look
WHAT’S IN YOUR BAG?
It’s Summer so I’m always on the move and making plans. I never know where the day will take me so I carry a hodge podge of things. I use my phone for most organization, but still love pen to paper when it comes to my calendar. I’m toting around a Moleskine planner, sunglasses, ear buds, Sharpie, business cards, iPhone, card case wallet, lipstick, chapstick, sunscreen, water, and a little Empire State Finery.

Quickly! Mornings are not my favorite.

Usually cruising on Instagram or hitting the DVR for my latest recording obsessions.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE SOUTH?
The South has so much rich history and tradition it is unlike any other place in the world.
MOST UNUSUAL ITEM(S) IN YOUR BAG?
Sweet ’N Low which I constantly get taunted for carrying around with me. I will admit to a pretty heavy iced tea addiction and it is the only sweetener I like!
BEST BUDGET FIND YOU USE EVERYDAY?
St Ives Apricot Scrub. I’ve used it since the 8th grade
BIGGEST SPLURGE YOU USE EVERYDAY?
The first big purchase I made out of college was a Cartier Roadster watch. I still adore it and wear it everyday.
PRODUCT THAT SAVES YOU THE MOST TIME?
Elta MD tinted sunscreen. It is an in-and-out the door necessity.
MOST VERSATILE WARDROBE STAPLE?
Our Johnny tusk necklace. You can wear it long or short, and dressy and casual. It’s the first piece we made and it’s still our favorite!
WHAT’S IN YOUR BAG?
Shades, sunscreen, peppermints, iPhone, card case wallet, Sweet ’N Low, business cards and of course some Empire State Finery, are all staples in my bag … all items that can take a girl from day to night with ease!
