I wanted to introduce you to Southern artist Anna Kincaide, one of my favorite new discoveries! Anna is from Florida and shows her work in galleries around the south and northeast.  She has quite a cool vibe to her art~and, I found some of my favorites in New Orleans at Gallery Orange (run by Tracy Gielbert and Jamie Koch) where Anna’s solo show opens on Saturday, October 22.

As you can see, Anna is strongly inspired by fashion and figurative design.  I love her imagery and interpretation of females, fashion, and flowers~ always leaving the eyes covered so that the artwork feels relevant and relatable to each viewer.

Anna’s paintings represent strength and softness to me.  With sophistication and whimsy impeccably intertwined, Anna achieves a unique look that captivates you and makes you want to surround yourself with these combinations.  The artistic yin-yang definitely keeps me waiting to see what will be next–I can’t get enough of this Southern creative’s talent and style!

You can preview the entire show at Gallery Orange or for those of you in New Orleans, stop by in person!
