Setting your Fall Table

Fall is in the air – well…almost, if you’re living here in the South! The temperature might still be warm, but we are forcing fall with pumpkin spice lattes, autumn scented candles and bootie-inspired attire. You might be thinking of ways to decorate your home and set your table for fall entertaining and family get-togethers. As if you can’t tell, I am a fan of the unexpected – I love doing a twist on the predictable holiday decor. My orange dining room is the perfect spot to set a fall table with the existing orange accents. My plan of attack? Gold and metallic accents – even the pumpkins! I scooped up a handful of pumpkins a few years back and sprayed them gold and silver. I use them on the front porch, mantle and on my table. While searching for holiday decor – go with the unexpected. Mix and match patterns in a color story rather than choosing the obvious. Instead of turkey-themed placemats, stick with a palette of oranges, golds and cremes. Then you can use them year-round for various occasions. Choose one area to toss in the theme – in this case, the pumpkins are the perfect fit! Once Christmas rolls around, I’ll change out pumpkins for aqua ornaments and pops of red.

This also allows me the opportunity to share my Entertaining Wardrobe with you! The wardrobe includes everything you need for impromptu dinner parties, family dinners or birthday soirees! Just like the rest of the Shoppe products, you can design your own! Choose your paper color, monogram style and ink color to create a custom look for your home! Each set comes with Fill-In Invitations, blank Menu Cards, Napkin Rings, Drink Flags and Placecards. Stash these in your china cabinet and be prepared for a party of 2 or 12!
