The sauce is a Louisiana barbecue sauce because it is true gumbo of southern sauce styles with Louisiana flair. The backbone of tomato and apple cider vinegar is matched with sweetness from Louisiana cane syrup and brown sugar. Creole mustard, Cajun hot sauce, cayenne, smoked paprika, chili powder, and more round out the flavor profile. I’m really excited to have the sauce on the market now. I can’t wait to grow Jay D’s into a household name!
Jay D’s Louisiana Barbecue Sauce Launches in Baton Rouge
official launch of Jay D’s Louisiana Barbecue Sauce. Jay D’s has been a little over two years in the making. I started playing with recipes shortly after quitting my day job and taking on Bite and Booze full time. Then I got busier than I ever expected with the blog, radio show, video stuff, and everything else. It was a good thing, but the barbecue sauce went to the back burner along with the book deal with the LSU Press (I still have full intentions of writing it soon, though!).
