It’s no secret at’all that I have a weakness for a beach wedding. In fact, beach weddings make our heart skip a beat every single time. And, when a beach wedding takes place at the most gorgeous beach in South Carolina, Hilton Head Island and is a military wedding the Colonial House team is jumping for sheer joy. There’s no doubt that Tonia McElveen who led this wedding flower team got this destination wedding all right. It’s filled with bamboozles of laughter, a gorgeous bride, lots of simple smiles and playfulness well let’s just say we can’t stop dreaming about it.

From Tonia at Colonial House… Lizzie and I designed her wedding flowers quickly and easily. Lizzie came to the shop knowing what she wanted as she really is drawn to the color blue. We spoke a few times over email and in person. What could have been obstacles – with the groom out of town + a destination wedding – was everything but… in fact, it was a huge pleasure to work with such a calm, easy going, happy bride who knew what she wanted. With just a little professional guidance from me, we pulled together a bouquet of flowers that were long lasting, incorporated her love of blue and incredibly over-the-moon romantic.
