Hello, 2016. It’s me! Ok, sorry for getting the Adele song stuck in your head again, but its the start of 2016—a brand new year! Each new year inevitably brings with it goals and resolutions. So join me on a journey of not only creating new goals, but also developing the strategies to acheive them.
It is essential to generate goals that not only motivate you, but are also relevant to where you are right now. If you are looking to get your brand noticed then hold yourself accountable each month by joining me in the following three steps:
Make a list of your top 10 dream partnerships that you would like to establish in 2016. I’ve already started my list! Map out what you would like to achieve for each one and write a draft pitch. That way if you run into an editor at a conference and only get five minutes with them, you are ready to pitch your idea!
Find contacts for each partnership on your list, either through social media, Linked In, print magazines, etc. Start by interacting with them through social media. The goal is for them to know who you are, so make sure to engage with them on a regular basis.
Send in a pitch to your dream parternships every month. If you want to get featured in something, you have to put in the work! There’s no way to know if you could have been featured unless you try. Most opportunities are disguised as hardwork. Just ask any writer or author! They will tell you how they were rejected countless times before getting published.
So join me on this journey and let’s work to transform our goals into reality!
