Georgia Flower Garland Senior Portroit

As someone who has been out of high school for almost 20 years (holy wow!) and as someone who works with flowers & photogs for sometimes 10 hours a day (yeah, holy wow, wow) you’d think I am way over senior pictures. And the truth is I kind of was until last week. I assumed I’d had my last hoorah.

That is until I got a request for a gorgeous garland for a horse. With lots of thought and consideration I reviewed my schedule – so it’s the biggest wedding of my career at a venue 3 hours away from home, plus a rustic-glam photo shoot, a bustling holiday shop order load, and Thanksgiving holiday. There really is not. a. spare. minute. Not even a second, at all.

And that’s when I through reason to the wind and did cart wheels down the driveway. Okay, that’s pretty extreme but after seeing the senior portraits photographed with absolute perfection by Diana Daley Photography with gorgeous Mary Lee from Statesboro High School Class of 2014. I am pretty sure you are going to be excited over and over again. You’ll see why I said, yes. You’re going to feel like doing gymnastics or something exciting.. So brace yourselves for some serious high school girl pretty Oh and click here to see even more.

With so many places to be this week and so many beautiful projects to execute I am totally grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this equestrian fairy tale. More, I am grateful for an uber talented Colonial House team to execute my vision and put up with my at-moments harassing with stir-crazy excitement phone calls to check on health of the design. After making the garland in the middle of the night before leaving for the Atlanta wedding, I called daily to check on the flower garland. A special thank you to Tonia McElveen & Kaitlyn Baxter for listening to me, believing in my dream and being so kindly willing to make it come true. They plucked, sewed, photographed and messaged me (over & over) with assurance that everything was alright & all good.

I love the artist & and family l who trusted me with this project, and the flower artists in the shop who worked hard.

Xo,

Christy
