I honestly can not recall the first time I stumbled onto the Instagram feed of the darling Teggy French.  If I am being completely truthful I think I always wanted her to be there and then one day she just appeared.  Teggy French is the brand name of the fashion blogger and darling style icon Alex Weichert.  Known for her incredible eye and Palm Beach vintage vibe she is incredibly popular with followers and brands alike.  One look at her portfolio and you will instantly see why.  She is quite amazing and always delivers an incredible shoot.

A self described “modern day C.Z. Guest” Alex’s style is a definite nod to the past.  A time when women dressed for dinner and attended events with minks and full length gloves.  Honestly I can’t quite get enough of her daily posts both on Instagram and her blog.  I am so drawn to her “preppy with a twist” style.  Alex excitedly agreed to share her desk with me and to let me dive into the incredible brand of Teggy French.

Let’s chat about Alex … tell me anything about your childhood that placed you right where you are today?

You know how people say that people are born who they are?  Well, that definitaely plays true for me! When I was 5 years old I would get into trouble for going through people’s closets – I just wanted to put outfits together and could never understand why this made people’s mothers so upset 🙂 

I am madly in love with your style … where does your inspiration come from?

Thank you so much!  My inspiration comes from all things vintage (fashion, books, movies, decor) but especially from Palm Beach socialites of the 1960s.

What is it like to work with such incredible designers?

I am 100% living my dream.  The fact that these designers entrust me to represent their beautiful designs is an honor that I am so grateful for!  

What advice would you give to someone wanting to be a fashion blogger?

Go for it!  There are lots of fashion blogs out there, but there’s only one you, therefor it will be different than the rest.  Think about what you want to express and stick to it – consistency is key.

Favorite photo shoot …

That would have to be when I went to Palm Beach to shoot with one of my favorite designers, Jules Reid.  We had SO much fun in our favorite place, styling her fabulous clothing, staying at the Colony Hotel and searching for the best vintage finds in Palm Beach (all found at Groovy Palm Beach).

Favorite color …

Pink 🙂

Five fashion must haves.

Vintage Pucci. Vintage Lilly. Turbans. Teggy French x Victory Optical sunglasses. Anything Jules Reid.  

Anything you would never wear?

A sweatsuit.  Why those were invented is beyond me.

Favorite travel destination.

Palm Beach!!!  I live there in my daydreams. 

What would you describe as your perfect day!

My perfect day would consist of coffee, a blowout, vintage shopping, cocktails with my besties, and dinner with my husband…preferably all taking place in Palm Beach or Beverly Hills…oh, and there should be french fries involved too!

Isn’t she incredible?  There are so many things I adore about her.  She is gracious, kind, humble and her eye for incredible pieces is like no other.  I love her passion for vintage pieces and of course her love of Palm Beach.  One day maybe we will be neighbors in darling salt box houses with a view of the ocean.  I am sure her home will be just as colorful as mine and maybe, just maybe, she would let me borrow from her incredible collection of accessories.  I mean, a girl can dream!
