Friday Sipping: The Beauregard Breeze
I can’t be the only one chasing some tropical vibes at the moment. Winter’s been fun (well, funmight be an exaggeration), but now I’m craving fresh fruits and sunny colors. So when the good folks at Dixie Southern Vodka sent me a bottle of their mint vodka, I was so there. You know I love a spicy and sweet concoction, so I mixed up a drink with pineapple and just a hit of cayenne, and lightened it all up with some club soda. The mint in the vodka brightens things up and adds a bit of punch. Perfect for sipping on a sunny porch or by the fireplace while you wait for warmer temps.
THE BEAUREGARD BREEZE
Cayenne pepper and salt mix
2 ounces Dixie Southern Mint Vodka
3 ounces pineapple juice
Club soda
Lime
Rim a Collins glass with the cayenne pepper salt mix. Add crushed ice, vodka, and pineapple and stir. Top with club soda and garnish with lime slice.
Cheers!
