Fatherly Advice

This Father’s Day, we celebrate fatherly advice and words of wisdom. As a family-owned business, this topic especially resounds with the Brumby family. Truly her father’s daughter, Anna’s father attributed any success in life to hard work. Always encouraging his children to work harder and smarter than anyone around them, he instilled the tools he felt sure would serve them well throughout their careers. Among his many quips and one-liners for which he was known, Anna and her siblings have fond memories of Otis Brumby, Jr. reminding his children:

“If you ONLY do the job you’re hired to do, then you’re not worth the paycheck your name is printed on.”

“The harder you work, the luckier you get!”

This holiday, honor your father and the life lessons he has bestowed, with the gift of an American classic. He’ll enjoy rocking and relaxing, relishing precious time spent together with family. For more than a century, The Brumby Chair Company has been an integral part of family heritages.
