1. The Magic of Majolica on One Kings Lane – the sale ends in one day, 2 hours and they still have some incredible pieces. This is one of my favorite things to collect. I pursue oyster plates, asparagus plates, pitchers and more.

2. Easy Fourth of July Feast from Southern Living – This is my kind of menu for the 4th as kid friendly and easy with great southern recipes. New twists on BBQ, potato salad, corn and the must have at every southern event–deviled eggs.

3. David McCullough on 60 Minutes last night – Author and historian David McCullough guides Morley Safer on an American historical journey. We get a history lesson about past presidents and Americans in Paris. He says America is becoming historically illiterate and after this episode, you will want to be sure you aren’t. I am headed to get one of this two time Pulitzer winning authors books to read over the 4th. He was charming and engaging in this interview!
