1. Sarah- Allen Preston Designs – I met Sarah through her artistic mom when Sarah was still in college at SMU. I reached out for a custom design then and soon after she launched her stationery company in Texas, Preston Paper. Sarah created several cute drawings of me for my stationery and marketing purposes. She did wholesale stationery for a bit and now has returned to her passion which is to create custom designs for folks. 2. Jenny Sue Makeup -Athenian Jennifer Duval dubs herself “a mommy with a makeup problem.” She is a freelance makeup artist with over 11 years experience. I have been lucky enough to see her talent in person with a friend’s bridal party. This uber talented makeup maven is a ton of fun to follow on her blog. She does step by step tutorials that are easy to follow and tries every product out there on a quest to share the best with her readers.

3. Southern Foodways Alliance – I love keeping up with their blog but most of all I am interested in their oral histories. I think it is such an important service SFA is providing by documenting and preserving the stories of Southerners who grow, create, serve, and consume food and drink. It can cover anything from Biloxi’s Ethnic Shrimping Communities to New Orleans Sno Balls.
