The saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” definitely applies in the case of these images from the 2014 Saint Simons Food & Spirits Festival! Instead of writing about the event, here’s a visual wrap-up… a feast for your eyes.

From beginning to end, it was a great event. The weather was heavenly, the food was delicious, the spirits were spirited, the presentations were perfect and the shopping was top-notch. Next year’s dates have not been announced but pencil it in for fall 2015… you don’t want to miss this festival!

The Artisan Market, featuring juried arts, crafts, farmer market and artisan-produced culinary items, under the canopy of the oaks and Spanish moss.

The Mixology Tent offered mixed drink potions with bitters, tonics, shrubs and of course, spirits. Craft cocktail, anyone?

The Grand Oaks Tasting Tent served Southern delicacies featuring St. Simon’s famed restaurants and allowed access to the Culinary Creations Cooking Stage. Book signings, cooking demonstrations and live music enhanced this celebration throughout the day. Culinary celebrity guests and presenters included our Southern C Summit friends Hugh Acheson, Libbie Summers and Dave Snyder as well as Pat Martin, Carey Bringle, Aaron Siegel, Justin & Jonathan Fox and Matthew Raiford.
