Coterie Crush on Designer Ty Larkins
We have a Coterie Crush on Louisiana interior designer Ty Larkins. This former lawyer says he approaches design like a puzzle where the carefully selected pieces don’t stand alone but together express an overall aesthetic. Looking at past projects, it is his lighting that always seemed to put the exclamation point on the look so we weren’t surprised to learn that an incredible statement piece chandelier is his Southern essential. In his own Baton Rouge home’s renovation that he and his wife Amanda describe as “hip traditional,” Ty used a large scale 17th century Italian light fixture to set the tone of their home.
We enjoyed finding out about Ty’s favorite things and share them here with you.
Almost too many to list: Darryl Carter, James Huniford, Stephen Sills, Ralph Lauren, Jean Michel Frank, McAlpine, Booth and Ferrier, Victoria Hagen, David Hicks, Vicente Wolf, Thomas Pheasant, Stephen Gambrel, Renee Abbott, Sheila Bridges, and Christian Liagre.
