Coterie Crush on Design Darling Haskell Harris

If you read Charlestonian Haskell Harris’ blog Magpie then I know you have a crush on her too! As contributing editor to several publications including Southern Living as well as her new endeavor Haskell Harris Creative, Haskell has numerous opportunities to share her stylish sensibilities.

Haskell is set to moderate an incredible panel at our upcoming Summit

The Art of Storytelling: Give your brand a voice presented by Leapfrog PR

Panel includes Melissa Blanchard (VanJean), Carrie Morey (Callie’s Charleston Biscuits), Libba Osborne (leapfrog PR), Amy Pastre (STITCH Design Co.), Courtney Rowson (STITCH Design Co.), Jackie Thomson (leapfrog PR) and Susan Steiner (VanJean) with moderator Haskell Harris (Haskell Harris Creative).

At the moment Haskell Harris from Charleston LOVES

fabric collection:

The casual, block-print textiles by the duo behind Georgia’s Block and Brayer

china pattern:

I’m not a formal china pattern girl. But I do love simple, restrained ceramics like those from R. Wood Studio

design blog:

Um, all of them! But Style Court and Look Linger Love are my faves because I know both authors so well!

(Enjoy a great post by Courtney on Haskell’s latest endeavors and a fun post Chassity wrote on Haskell that gets you ready for spring and summer poolside.)

paint color:

I’m slightly obsessed with a precise shade of pink found all over Charleston that’s pretty close to Ben Moore’ s Coral Reef. I want to paint the whole world this color right now. It feels modern and historic at once.

candle:

Clementine & Clove from Virginia’s Sydney Hale Co.

shop for antiques:

Tricia’s Treasures in Birmingham, Alabama. AAAAAAmazing if you want to score something unusual for a song.

artist:

Love, love, love Charleston artist Ann Keane

interior designers:

I could never pick just one but right now I’d have to say North Carolina’s Barrie Benson

and fellow Charlestonian Angie Hranowsky. They’re both geniuses.

to collect:

I’ve always collected hourglasses, but now I’m on to salt cellars. So old-school!

about the south:

The talented (and growing!!) community of creatives who live and work here (artists, artisans, designers…)

Haskell can’t live without:

Fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice…I’m addicted…

Haskell’s secret to timeless design:

A sense of place—always…

Haskell’s style in five words or less:

Rustic glam…
