Correspond – Christmas Cards
The words no one wants to hear during this busy time of year… “Christmas is only _____ days away.” Gulp. I keep seeing reminders on commercials and in my FB feed. Really? We are barely into the first week of November! Honestly, I am a little thankful for these reminders as it puts Christmas cards on my radar. While sending Christmas cards is one of my favorite parts of the holidays, it can become quite the task. Is it a pain? Most of the time. Are they worth it? Once it’s all said and done, yes!
Receiving cards is equally fun. I have kept the cards from each of the 18 years my husband and I have been married. They are boxed up with our Christmas decorations labeled by the year received. I can’t bear to part with them. We, along with our kids, always enjoy our yearly tradition of picking out a random year and seeing how our family and friends have changed and grown through the years… little faces peeking out from the cards that have fast become tweens, teens and young adults in college or even beyond. How time flies!
There are so many choices and after looking online, I have found some great designs. I feel like I am halfway there by narrowing down my selections. Thankfully the other hard part is done as I have some pictures I can work with this year – always the ordeal to get a family photo! Check that off the list, too, thank goodness. Here’s are some designs that caught my eye:
I love your tradition that you have kept the cards from each of the 18 years you and Vic have been married. Great idea to box them up with the Christmas decorations labeled by the year received. So cute your family always enjoys the yearly tradition of picking out a random year and seeing how your family and friends have changed and grown through the years. LOVE THIS!
