At The Southern C Summits (Jekyll, Athens, Nashville and Charleston), it’s no exaggeration to say we like to “keep good company”… from our attendees to our venues, to the speakers and our sponsors, we have been fortunate to find ourselves among some of the South’s brightest entrepreneurial minds and clever, innovative brands. So when the Martha Stewart American Made Awards announced their nominees and the finalists, it came as no surprise to see several of our TSC Summit friends on this illustrious list.

Each year Martha Stewart Living honors a group of makers from across the country in four key categories – crafts, design, food, and style. They are recognized for their dedication to creative entrepreneurship and to building successful businesses and communities and living their version of the American dream. The awards serve to spotlight the next generation of great American makers – the creative entrepreneur, artisans and small business owners who are thinking outside of the commercial box and mall mentality to create beautiful, inspiring and useful products. This program also supports and celebrates the homemade and those who have turned their passion into product through quality craftsmanship and well-designed goods.

When the nominees were announced, we were thrilled to see seven Southern C Summit friends and sponsors on this list! Out of those seven, four have made it to the finals… wow! The finalists are all amazing, so check it out here, but be sure to pay special attention to our TSC Summit connections – Callie’s Biscuits, King Bean Coffee, Schermer’s Pecans and Blackberry Patch. We also extend a big congrats to our other #tscsummit friends that were nominees – Big T Coastal Provision, Grey Ghost Cookies and Hayden Reis. We sure hope they will still remember us now that they are all well on their way to being big and famous thanks to Ms. Stewart (wink, wink)!

To read more, click each name below and you will see why they made the list. Public voting is now open until October 13th and we hope that you will vote for our Southern friends!
