Confectionery: The Loving Pie Company

Nestled in a small blue house in the quaint Berry Hill neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee is The Loving Pie Company. This adorable little pie shop was started in 2012 by Suzanne Loving, whose savory and sweet pie creations are enough to keep diners coming back again and again.

I recently visited The Loving Pie Company for the second time and enjoyed it just as much as the first. Loving has a culinary background, attending the Art Institute of Tennessee and then working as executive chef at a large Nashville church.

She saw the need for a pie shop in Nashville and her dream became a reality a couple of years ago.

My first trip to The Loving Pie Company included a slice of what I like to think is the shop’s crown jewel, red velvet chess pie. It’s as good as you are imagining it to be. No, it’s better.

During the most recent visit, I enjoyed bites of chocolate pecan pie and strawberry peach (with ice cream).

If you are in this neck of the woods, I highly recommend trying The Loving Pie Company. The savory pies are delicious too, although I’m more of a sweets fan.

Learn more about The Loving Pie Company on its website http://www.thelovingpiecompany.com/. There are daily specials as well as standard options available on the menu.

Have you ever been to Berry Hill? There are some great local shops and dining options to enjoy. If you find yourself in Nashville looking to explore something new, I highly recommend it! And be sure to get some pie while you’re in the neighborhood.
