Compilation – Top 10 Beach Bag Books

May 14 2014

by Whitney Long

School is almost out, summer is almost here and that means it’s time to compile my annual beach bag book list and catch up on some long overdue reading, my favorite summer pastime!

Throughout the rest of the year, my reading, sadly, falls to the wayside. But come summer, I aim to remedy this and select four or five titles to read over the course of the long, lazy days by the pool or at the beach. I usually keep at least two selections in my bag so, depending upon the mood, location and concentration level, I can “dive” into another world be it fiction, memoir or light-hearted fare.

Here are my top ten picks for summer 2014 and here’s to me reading at least half of them over the next few months! I’d love to know what’s on your book list, too, so share your suggestions on our virtual front porch at The Southern C – The South’s Must-Visit Virtual Front Porch

Great list thanks for the ideas! I always love to read Mary Higgins Clark at the beach and also want to read “Gone Girl”.
