COLOR – Celebrate the Vibrant Colors of Mardi Gras All Year Long
The last beads have been flung, the parades and balls are over, masks have been taken off and the King cakes have all been consumed. Though Mardi Gras, a carnival held around the world to signify the season of Lent, ended yesterday with “Fat Tuesday”, the last day of the carnival season, you can continue the celebration through the year by incorporating the colors of Mardi Gras in your interiors.
This trio of royal colors – purple, green and gold – represent justice, faith and power and convey the celebration’s unique atmosphere. These colors work well together as a bold overall color scheme for a room or use them as liberally as accents and punch up colors through accessories and vibrant patterns.
