Couture: CBS Sunday Morning spotlighted KP MacLane

CBS Sunday Morning is such an incredible news program that is loved by the Southern C gals and their spouses. We often all banter about it after watching because there are so many uplifting and inspirational stories. Let’s face it, that is not always the case on so many other news shows. From the second the trumpet sounds at the start to the end when I find myself lost in some tranquil setting listening to nature, I am in a good place. Even the sunny image that morphs and changes from the actual logo throughout the show keeps you upbeat. The orb is a character on the show as likable as anchor Charles Osgood or zany Bill Geist.

This past week I was interested in one of the segments that featured a cute young couple following a passion to create high quality American classics. Katherine Petty MacLane and Jared MacLane met while both working at Hermes, you had me at hello. They founded KP MacLane with a goal to combine a European aesthetic with American craftsmanship. They pride themselves on being a USA-made luxury clothing manufacturer. They reside in Atlanta so we are claiming them as some of the many southerners putting out a great product.

The segment on CBS Sunday Morning spotlighted what it costs to make a polo shirt but after they deconstructed it, I realized this is no average polo. I plan to purchase one of their chic modern polos for myself.

Here is a link to the piece on CBS Sunday Morning last weekend. Correspondent Erin Moriarty talks with them about what it costs to put out a polo shirt.
