Who’s ready for pre-fall? I sure am. And it’s super easy to start restructuring your wardrobe to be both temperature and seasonally appropriate by just changing a few pieces.
I took what’s normally a summer bandage skirt by Rachel Pally and paired it with a black, open-side top by the designer rather than choosing a white top or even tank. Rachel’s fabrics are of a great, breathable jersey material that make them comfortable to wear no matter the season and no matter your size. I also switched out summery sandals and picked to wear these metallic pumps from Zara instead.
And while we’re talking about metallics, mixed metals are huge fall accessories. Trading out your neon bangles for more heavy metal pieces can instantly change the tone of an outfit. My favorite mixed metal necklaces right now are these two bySheer Addiction that I’ve layered together. Along with unique, multi-strand necklaces, Sheer Addiction has vintage-inspired bracelets as well that are perfect for stacking.
Pairing your favorite summer staples with darker/cooler colors and neutrals will help you transition your summer clothing into fall without any unneeded layers or heavy fabrics. More ideas on how to prep for fall styling – while enduring the southern heat – will be rolling out all month long!
