The weekend in Maine flew by! Chebeague was a beautiful setting for the wedding and in the words of the groom, it was like we all had escaped to summer camp for a weekend.
We set sail from Portland on Friday afternoon in a heavy downpour, but by Friday night the skies had cleared and Saturday’s weather could not have been more gorgeous.

Friday night we threw on dresses and made our way the Inn for some lobster.

On Saturday morning the sun was shining and our waterfront backyard was a peaceful oasis

that livened up mid-day with a lobster feast thanks to Chef Chip who not only steamed our lobsters perfectly (with his secret ingredient) but also tracked down a source for local lobsters and had them delivered to our cottage.

Before we knew it we were donning dresses again and after a photo shoot in the backyard, we were off to celebrate the happy couple.

Way too early on Sunday we said farewell to Chebeague, boarding a water taxi and scattering across the country. I have a horrible friend hangover today after getting to see everyone too briefly this weekend. Luckily, I’ll get to see them soon and this time I’ll be the one in the white dress (eek!) Congrats J and J! xoxo
