I’m Lydia- mom to two little tow heads, lucky wife to a really wonderful (and helpful) husband, and editor of the blog, The Party Wagon! I’m an Auburn grad living among the Bulldogs in Athens, GA and loving it! I was raised in Georgia where good manners were always expected, Southern Living magazine was always on the coffee table, and casseroles were always what was for dinner. I’m pretty sure I have the best parents a girl could wish for, and they taught me that being grateful in life is one of the best views to have!
As a former teacher, tutor, babysitter, and nanny, I have spent so much time with children- and I love seeing it all through their sweet little eyes. Having my own children gave me my best “job” to date, and I love spending my days with them!
Always in need of a creative outlet, I created The Party Wagon blog as a hobby. I wanted to share creative party ideas and “everyday” ideas for parents to do with their children. The blog has also become a resource for vendors and, I hope, an inspiration to create your own fun with your children! I like details and find it hard to stop once the ideas start flowing- but if you find one or two that suit you and your celebration, then I am thrilled! I believe that there is no right or wrong way to celebrate- nothing too big or too small. What suits you is what is best for you and your child- and that is what makes a day special! Children are wowed by the simplest things- and so every day literally holds something special and magical for them! That is the beauty of childhood- and I love to celebrate it!
