Arielle is a Baltimore native, but after living most of her adult life in Charleston, SC and Richmond, VA, the South has become her home. (She’s even been known to say y’all on occasion.) She lives in Richmond with her husband, two rather ridiculous dogs, and one surly tuxedo cat.
Arielle started Scotch & Nonsense around the same time she moved into and began renovating her 150 year old home in the historic Church Hill neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia. She works in architecture and interior design, and the blog was originally intended to document her passion for bold, eclectic interiors. It has since evolved to a place where she shares her favorite recipes, cocktails, travels, occasional nonsense, and yes, home design. Arielle loves exploring her adopted hometown, thrifting, sipping an Islay Scotch, cooking up a storm, getting in way over her head with house projects, and writing about it all.
